The signature shield-shaped grille has been completely transformed into a closed-off design exclusive to electric vehicles. When the vehicle is parked, it can close completely, effectively reducing the vehicle’s aerodynamic drag coefficient and truly achieving a balance between aesthetics and functionality.
The side profile is the most distinctive design highlight of the Volvo ES90 2027. It completely breaks away from the conventional image of traditional mid-to-large three-box sedans and follows a uniquely styled crossover route. The smooth fastback coupe-like roofline extends seamlessly from the A-pillar to the rear of the vehicle. Without relying on overly complicated character lines, the body is shaped by a single high shoulder line running from front to rear, creating a strong and robust silhouette. Combined with the flush door handle design, the entire side profile appears clean, elegant, and uninterrupted. The LiDAR sensor positioned at the front section of the roof adopts an integrated raised layout. The rear design likewise continues Volvo’s consistent minimalist philosophy. The classic C-shaped taillights are enhanced with black trim surrounds, while the internal lighting units integrate amber position lights and white block-style brake lights, delivering outstanding visual recognition when illuminated at night. Unlike traditional three-box sedans, the Volvo ES90 additionally features a set of square-shaped high-mounted light units above the rear window.
